Italian tradition,

Northwest-made

Northwest Bakeshop fashions our handmade biscotti after Tuscany’s regulatory rules  and the guidelines of Assocantuccini, to proudly maintain the tradition and style of Tuscany’s Cantucci or Cantuccini Toscani.

NW Bakeshop Founder and Pastry Chef, Julie

My first time tasting my Italian grandmother’s “cantucci,” otherwise known as “biscotti,” is one of my earliest memories. They were simply delicious. I would make these crunchy cookies for my father, who would flatter me by saying, the biscotti “tastes like grandma’s.” After his passing, and looking back into my family’s history, these memories continue to resonate within me.

My wish is to share the delicious, familial experience of biscotti and my passion for baking with those who appreciate a light yet seemingly indulgent snack. It’s not easy to find authentic artisan biscotti like my grandmother made, and my goal is to change that by sharing my handmade Northwest Bakeshop Biscotti with you!

How to Biscotti

Steeped in Tuscan tradition, biscotti gives us a moment to do as the Italians do - slow down, savor nature’s wonderful flavors, enjoy beautiful textures, and hopefully have a nice drink, too. We think it’s best when dipped! Try it with…

Whether you love espresso, drip, cold brew, French press, pour over, cappuccino or lattes, the only thing your favorite coffee is missing is a satisfying NW Bakeshop Biscotti!

COFFEE

Pairing your biscotti with tea is a wonderful way to wake-up or wind down. Whether you prefer traditional black tea, chamomile, exotic matcha, or an herbal blend, tea is great with a snappy biscotti.

TEA

Another very Italian way to enjoy biscotti is alongside wine - especially Vin Santo, a Tuscan dessert wine. Your favorite red, Prosecco, white or port - or even liqueur or cocktail - are also fun, traditional options.
